Welcome to the new edition of our Newsletter. Our first announcement in this issue has nothing at all to do with technology: Jakob Schubert from Innsbruck, who phion supports in his sporting career, won the Youth World Champion title in climbing for the third time in succession during the last August weekend! He had to compete against more than 700 other participants. Congratulations!

In the latest blog-entry phion-CEO Wieland Alge comments on a recently published survey by Computer Associates, according to which over 70 percent of all CIOs in Europe want to invest in their IT security.

In this issue's Features & Functions section we present our new enterprise appliance models which will be available as from September. We also cover new SSL-VPN features.

Jakob Schubert wins his 3rd title at the IFSC Youth World Championships in climbing
For the third time in succession Jakob Schubert has won the title of Youth World Champion in climbing. At the competition in Valence, France the schoolboy from Innsbruck beat the strong competition of over 700 participants from 39 countries. With this result, Jakob has continued his incredible success series at the Youth World Championships (World Champion in Sydney (AUS) 2008 and Ibarra (ECU) 2007, world vice champion in Imst (AUT) 2006 and Peking (CHN) 2005) and has already realised one of his greatest goals of the season.
