Big Learn from Small (by Wieland Alge)
17.06.2009

This is one of the major issues we recognize this year.
Instead of pushing effectivity regardless of costs, even formerly very rich organizations rank efficiency first. This is exactly what most of the lower enterprise class organizations (or upper mid market, your choice) had to do through all the years.

Hence it is not really the knowhow-transfer from small to large but it is from poor to rich, from efficiency driven to effectivity driven.

The great chance for the large ones is that almost all of the necessary techniques is already there, long time approved and rock solid.

I do not speak of technologies, they are there anyway. Many of the large and rich ones use it already but use only 10% of its capacity. (This reminds of scientologies gossip of Einstein's quote about man's brain.)

Anyway, we still see experts which are not willing to adapt their views to new circumstances.
But it is a fact that will not go away that there is a huge spread between the most efficient companies and the others.
